Originally the program was referenced under 3 separate projects; the entrance rehabilitation project, tree maintenance plan, and the storm water pond restoration project. Planning work was completed in 2016 but due to lack of funding the tree maintenance plan was delayed until 2018, and the entrance rehabilitation project was assumed by volunteers with small funding for materials only. Funding for the maintenance of storm water ponds was approved in 2009 but the program was proving inadequate. A 2006 engineering study recommended dramatic structural changes in 3 out of the 4 stormwater ponds but the cost was not feasible. Funding was approved for the tree maintenanace plan in 2017 and work began in winter of 2018. The entrance rehabilitation project received additional funding in 2018, but again, small amounts for materials only and with all labor performed by volunteers.
