I. Storm Water Ponds
Pond
1 (Gates Creek and Mill Rd)
Water Quality
(1) No data available - pond is not under
maintenance contract.
(2) No visible algae or surface vegetation
present.
Surrounding Shoreline
west side
(1) heavy overgrowth of trees.
north side
(1) heavy overgrowth of invasive weeds.
south side
(1) overgrowth of evergreen bushes, some ground
is void of vegetation due to tree and bush removal and spraying of weed
suppressant from landscape vendor.

(1) No data available - pond is under a
provisional maintenance contract; no maintenance has been performed year to
date.
(2) 100% surface covered with Wolffia (duckweed blooms), some Arrowheads breaking surface.

(1) good shape, most trees have been pruned.

(1) a few overgrown bushes and tree.

Action Items:

Remove overgrown
bush and Black Alder on south side. ILM to treat pond for remainder of warm
months.

Pond 3 (Willowwood and Arbor Ln)
Water Quality (tested on 7/13 and 7/24)
(1) Dissolved oxygen: (7.8) / (11.2) [4 - 7 ok, 7 - 11 good]
(2) Water Clarity: 3ft / 3ft
(3) 100% surface

II.
Natural Spring Area with Bridge
The area
located between 275 Willowwood and Pond #2 is undergoing
a provisional development program. The area is being cleared of invasive trees,
bushes and weeds. The Birch copse pruned and dead trees removed. There are
several test plots of plantings being installed throughout the area and several
small walking trails are being created between the creek and the west side of
pond #2.
Test Plot 1 - 10 water irises, 5 sweet flag plants
installed along creek shore near small waterfall.

Test Plot 2 - 1 sweet flag, 2 swamp marigolds installed
just north of bridge.
Test Plot 3 - 2 large hostas, 8
white-edged hostas, 2 gold bleeding hearts, 2 Brunnera, 2 native grasses

opposite hillside of the south shoreline of Pond #2 just north of Birch copse.
(b) Some animal
activity and predation has occurred.
Test Plot 4 - 6 azaleas installed east side of large
fallen tree.
Test Plot 5 - 3 anemones installed west side of fallen
tree approximately 30 feet up slope of creek.
Test Plot 6 - 72 hostas, 3 ferns, 5 hydrangeas, installed
on west side of concrete walk
